      Lasagna Bolognese

I grew up eating lasagna made with ingredients that all came from a jar or box, except for adding in some cottage cheese (no ricotta in my Mom's version!) and shredded mozarella. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to make authentic, labor-of-love, Italian lasagna alla Bolognese featuring fresh pasta, meat ragu, aged parmesan, and béchamel sauce. This is not your Mama's lasagna (unless of course you come from an Italian family); it's divinely "light" and creamy and oh, oh, so delicious! We will also make a simple red wine chocolate cake topped with whipped mascarpone for dessert. We'll then sit down together and enjoy the meal.

What you’ll learn:

  • How to make homemade pasta
  • How to make a classic meat ragu sauce
  • How to make a béchamel sauce
  • How to make a rustic chocolate cake
